I went to some dear friend's place yesterday and re-encountered this wee painting of mine on their book shelf - it's an oil painting of a Nuthatch bird, inspired by a photo by one of my favourite bird photographer @jennys_nature_photos_ 🐦 (if you don't know her work, just go and have a look!)

I've been meaning to make more of these small paintings of birds but life always gets in the way! 🫠 Perhaps I should challenge myself to paint one today as I have an afternoon off!

To be fair, these are all wonderful references! 😁 But every so often I do get a fair share of blurry pixelated dogs 🍑, instead of beautifully focused and well lit pretty snouts!
